I came up with my own. Guy Tenenbaum did. I believe you can too. I got the idea for coming up with my own covid/long-covid health care protocol after I saw a group of medical doctors, who thought that sitting around waiting until you couldn’t breathe before going to the hospital E.R. during the early stages of the Covid pandemic, wasn’t the best idea, so they came up with Covid treatment protocols to support what they believed to be true- that early treatment was needed to prevent severe disease, and they made the protocols available to the public. I can relate to not wanting to sit around waiting for things to get worse. As I mentioned before, sitting around waiting to find out what kind of cancer my dad had and waiting for what seemed like entirely too long to begin treatment for an aggressive, fast spreading, cancer just didn’t give us warm fuzzy feelings. Instead of wringing our hands, we started educating ourselves and coming up with things for dad to try while we waited. The things dad tried which were mostly dietary, did bring him quite a bit of relief from his symptoms.
In our about section, we defined what we believe to be the difference between healthcare and health care within our Leaving Death in the Dust community. The healthcare system has protocols, lots of them. They claim, “The use of clinical protocols allows health care providers to offer appropriate diagnostic treatment and care services to patients”, but when I take a closer look at the reasons for why they have them, it makes me wonder if their protocols are actually more beneficial to them and their business operations than they are to us and our healing. Then again, their protocols do seem to be improving quality of care outcomes and seem to be very beneficial in the acute care setting, but what happens if there is no established treatment protocol for what you’ve got or if you have a chronic condition? There still isn’t one for long-covid and there are some rare forms of cancer that do not have established treatment protocols. Maybe there are studies we could look at to help us decide what to think about all of that, but this thought will be put on the back burner and placed in my- for another time file.
We have also stated- We Recognize that YOU are your own primary health care provider. Therefore, one of our primary goals for you, as a thriving member of our community, is to use the shared educational information that you glean from here (and other places) to develop your own healing, health care protocols for yourself and/or your loved ones like Guy Tenenbaum did and like the groups of doctors mentioned above did and like me and dad did. I would strongly encourage you to take a look at what they have produced and use what they have done to help you start designing your own healing, health care protocol. Please consult with your own doctor before you start doing what you have put together. I’ve linked to Guy’s book which is on Kindle and is very affordable, see above, and also to the Covid protocols which are free.
I have a friend who accuses me of giving too many homework assignments. Today, she told me to go research something to help me feel better, but not to post it where she could see it because she’s too sick with pneumonia to read anything I found today, which made me laugh and was much needed. I think I’ve probably given you enough to look at and think about for now. Do your homework……………
