Leaving Death in the Dust is about learning how to heal from Long Covid and Stage 4 Cancer.
Hope is the beginning of healing and Leaving Death in the Dust was created to help beautiful human beings who are sick and tired (metabolically and emotionally bankrupt) find healing, while also becoming more actively involved in their own health care. Stay hopeful!
Leaving Death in the Dust is about the journey to whole health- body, mind, spirit- soul.
Most of what you will find here is all tied together in many ways because our Newsletters build upon each other. If you haven’t visited our Welcome page, I would like to encourage you to do that by clicking on this link- Welcome - by Stephanie Schaible so that you can see what our newsletters are like.
In a nutshell, Leaving Death in the Dust is the story of a father and daughter meeting at the crossroad of illness and healing.
Ultimately, Leaving Death in the Dust is about the journey to health, whole health; body, mind, spirit- soul.
And we look at things in this way-
Healthcare (one word) is a centralized system; a medical industrial complex that does acute/emergency care very well. It’s a highly regulated institution, an industry with an assembly line of sick people in which we can find ourselves having very little control of our own medical care. It’s from within this system that we can sometimes feel like we are disconnected from each other and a bit less human. But a beautiful, meaningful life is participatory and actively participating in our own health care, as much as we possibly can, helps remind us that we are still fully human even when we are sick and possibly even facing death.
Health care (two words) is a twist on healthcare. Health care is sort of like self-care, but it includes learning how to take primary responsibility for our own health care and helping others.
Our Focus will primarily be on improving our metabolic/mitochondrial health because this is where we get our mojo.
Our Goal is to help you find the educational resources needed to help you to heal.
We Believe that your own self-efficacy, advocacy, and active participation in your health care will help you to maintain a positive mindset and help nurture your will to survive so that you can continue living the beautiful, meaningful life you’ve been given with purpose.
We Recognize that You are your own primary health care provider.
We Equip you with the informational and educational resources you might be looking for. You are encouraged to take what you have learned here to your own healthcare providers and health coaches for consideration.
We Hope that your whole health will be restored and that you will find what you are looking for- the beginning of a richer, more satisfying, and meaningful life.

**Leaving Death in the Dust is a newsletter and is not a replacement for professional, regulated, medical, healthcare. This is informational and educational. Some of us in this community may have worked in the healthcare system, but we are not your medical provider and whatever you find here is not the establishment of a professional medical relationship or medical advice. **That is an MT behind my name not an MD.
